Hi! I'm Alena Minkina

Integrated osteopathy, elite fitness and psychological insight for lifelong wellbeing

Alena Minkina

Alena Minkina is an osteopath, rehabilitation specialist and fitness coach who combines deep clinical expertise with psychological insight into how body and mind interact. She helps people turn pain and injury into renewed vitality and confidence.

She holds a degree in Diplomacy and International Relations (Belarus) and later earned diplomas in Holistic and Sports Massage, Rehabilitation, and NLP. Graduating with honours in Osteopathy from Anglia Ruskin University, she also trained in Craniosacral Therapy at the Upledger Institute UK.

Now based in London, Alena is bilingual in English and Russian, with a good knowledge of French.

Your body is the vessel through which you experience life. Its possibilities often remain unexplored, and reconnecting with them is a journey of lifelong discovery.

For more than 15 years, I’ve helped people heal from injuries, guiding them back to pain-free movement, renewed strength and a sense of comfort in their own bodies.

Here are some of the specific areas I specialize in:

Back Issues and Recovery After Spinal Surgeries

Persistent back pain can quietly take over your life – making it hard to sit comfortably, sleep through the night, or enjoy simple movements like bending or walking. Many people come to me after months (or years) of trying to manage this pain with painkillers, rest, or temporary fixes, often feeling frustrated or afraid that nothing will truly help. I work with wide range of spinal conditions -from disc herniations and “sciatica” to recovery after spinal surgery or joint replacements. Through gentle osteopathic treatment and carefully tailored movement therapy, I help release tension, restore mobility and rebuild trust in your body.

Posture and Tension-Related Pain

Poor posture doesn’t just change how you look – it affects how you feel. Many people live with constant tightness in their neck, shoulders, or lower back, unaware that these daily aches are signs of strain building up over time. It can leave you feeling heavy, tense and easily fatigued. I help identify and release the physical patterns that keep your body under pressure. Through gentle hands-on work, corrective exercises, and awareness of how you move and sit, we restore balance, flexibility, and ease.

The goal isn’t a “perfect” posture – it is a body that supports you comfortably and feels light again.

Pregnancy and postnatal care

Pregnancy and motherhood bring incredible changes – physically and emotionally. Many women experience back or pelvic pain, tension in the hips or ribs, or feel disconnected from their bodies after giving birth. Sleep deprivation, feeding positions and the constant care of a newborn can add to strain. I offer gentle, supportive osteopathic care to help your body adapt through each stage – easing pain and preparing for or recovering from birth. After delivery, we focus on restoring pelvic stability, rebuilding core strength and reconnecting with your body’s natural rhythm.

Professional bodybuilding journey

Wellness Category, UKBFF Sugar’s Classic

Even with a strong clinical background in anatomy, physiology and rehabilitation, I wanted to feel the full transformation process myself — not just understand it academically. So in 2016–2017, I committed to preparing for a bodybuilding competition. I built most of my own programme and, in the final stages, trained with elite coaches and multiple Arnold Classic champions.

The stage was unforgettable, but the real lessons happened in the months leading up to it. I learned how the body truly adapts to progressive training, how strength can be built without extremes, and how vital it is to protect hormonal, reproductive and digestive health. I also saw how easily people get pulled into impressive-looking trends that often compromise long-term wellbeing.

These insights now shape my clinical practice. I guide clients of all levels — from those recovering after injury to advanced athletes — to train intelligently, avoid injury and build strength that supports their health and their life. My focus is sustainable progress, powerful results and a body that feels as good as it looks.

How You and I can work together

When you come to see me, we always begin with a thorough in-person consultation. I’ll take a detailed medical history, perform a hands-on assessment, give you your first treatment and work with you to outline a plan that fits your needs.

Choose the Format That Works Best for You
From there, we have a few options:

  • For Close, Intensive Work

Many clients choose weekly one-to-one sessions so we can work closely together. I keep the number of these slots limited to ensure everyone gets my full attention, so they tend to book up quickly.

  • For Guided, Independent Progress

Others prefer appointments every couple of weeks, following a personalized plan I create for them between visits and checking in to adjust it as they progress.

  • Online Sessions If You Struggle to Reach Me

I recommend an initial face-to-face consultation, but online sessions are also available if you struggle to reach me in person. Ideal for follow-ups, second opinions or guidance on a training programme that isn’t giving you the results you hope for.

Mentorship and Coaching

In addition to working directly with clients, I provide mentorship for fellow professionals—massage therapists, psychosomatic practitioners, doulas, osteopaths—as well as clinics and spa teams.

My focus is on raising skill levels and deepening understanding of patients, which in turn helps build long waiting lists of loyal clients. My own practice has grown exclusively through word of mouth.

By combining technical expertise with psychological insight and an appreciation of personal branding and communication, I’ve cultivated a diverse and loyal client base that includes High net worth individuals (HNWIs) and political leaders from around the world.
